Member Safety and Integrity
Centenary Dolphins Swim Club is committed to providing a safe, respectful and supportive environment for every swimmer and member. This page brings together the club documents, consent forms and national integrity resources that guide behaviour, volunteering, transport arrangements and the protection of children and young people.
Our Commitment
Member safety is a shared responsibility. Swimmers, parents, coaches, committee members and volunteers all play a part in maintaining an environment where members feel safe, supported, respected and able to raise concerns.
CEDO Policies and Expectations
These club resources explain the standards of conduct expected from members and the requirements that apply to volunteers working with children.
CEDO Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct sets out the behaviour expected from swimmers, parents, coaches, committee members and volunteers.
It supports respectful communication, appropriate boundaries, sportsmanship and a positive club environment.
Blue Card Requirements
Blue Card requirements depend on the volunteer role, how regularly a person helps and whether a parent volunteer exemption applies.
The club may also need to record or link existing Blue Cards and Exemption Cards before a volunteer begins an applicable role.
Parent and Guardian Consent Forms
Written consent helps ensure that transport involving junior swimmers is planned, authorised and clearly understood by the club, the parent or guardian and the person providing transport.
Parent Transport Consent Form
This form is used when a parent or guardian authorises their child to be transported for approved club activities such as training sessions, swim meets or other organised club events.
It records the parent or guardian’s permission and confirms the conditions that apply to the transport arrangement.
One to One Transport Consent Form
This form is required when one club representative may need to transport one child or young person without another adult or child present.
One to one transport should only occur when no reasonable alternative is available and must be approved by the parent or guardian before the journey takes place.
National Integrity Resources
CEDO operates within the wider integrity and safeguarding framework that applies across Australian swimming.
Swimming National Integrity Framework
The Swimming National Integrity Framework contains the rules and policies that apply to behaviour and conduct across swimming.
It supports a safe, fair and inclusive sport and includes obligations relating to safeguarding, member protection, complaints and prohibited conduct.
Sport Integrity Australia
Sport Integrity Australia provides safeguarding information, education and resources for participants, families, volunteers and sporting organisations.
It also provides an independent avenue for reporting certain safeguarding, discrimination and integrity concerns in sport.
Raising a Concern
Children, parents and members should feel able to speak up when something does not feel right.
Speak to the Club
Member safety, conduct or integrity concerns can be raised with the Club Secretary or an appropriate member of the CEDO Management Committee.
